New Features

Symbol search options

We have added further flexibility to symbol searches. You can now search for symbols and surrounding text, or just search for the symbols themselves. This lets you select the best option based on your project needs.

Visual review for symbols

When you do a symbol search, you now see thumbnails of the matches found. This gives you the ability to visually review the matches and instantly approve the items found.

Matching Accuracy Control

To supercharge the symbol review process, we have given you the power to adjust the matching accuracy used by the machine learning model that identifies symbols. This lets you see higher/lower quality matches to the symbol used to start the search.

Find Attributes

The new Find Attributes feature scans the diagrams featuring the extracted symbols and imports attributes into the Attributes Editor based on the text surrounding the symbols. This feature is useful if you did a Symbol Only search and then later find out you need to grab the attributes for those items.

To use this feature, open the Attributes Editor for a symbol class that doesn't have any attributes recorded and click Find Attributes. DataSeer then imports any attributes that it can find for the symbols listed.

Enhancements

  • Enhanced the valve search logic to capture valve sizes in the following units:

    • nominal bore (NB)
    • nominal diameter (DN/ND)

  • Enhanced the Attributes Editor to better handle long attributes. If a value is too long to display, it will now display truncated with periods and you can click the cell to see the full value.

  • Updated the Print Preview window to include the Other Symbols option under Symbol Classes.

Performance Improvements

  • Enhanced the retry logic to better handle connection time outs when performing tasks in DataSeer.

Fixes

  • Fixed issue that prevented you from approving your annotated symbol if there were no matches found during the search.
  • Fixed issue that caused the "Upload failed (Error: split_pdf)" error when adding a new project.
  • Fixed issue that caused a console warning to display for the Coverage icon.
